Abstract

With the development of information technology, telecommunications and the globalization of the Internet, there was an increase in the commission of computer crimes. In Cuba, the incidence of these crimes increased, making it necessary to create new legal norms to punish criminal conduct and offer protection to the victims. The objective of the study is to assess the new legal regulations for the treatment of Computer Crimes in the criminal-administrative field in Cuba approved in the period from 2021 to 2023. For the development of the research, scientific methods were used at the theoretical level, such as the historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and hermeneutic, and at the empirical level, the analysis of contents. As a result, it was identified the progress in matters of legislation in Cuba for the treatment of computer crimes, in the period studied, with the approval of new legal regulations such as Decree-Law 35, Resolution 105 and the Penal Code of the year 2022.
