Abstract

AI is not an external threat; it is a new tool that forces us to question what is truly essential in higher education. Institutions, by their very deliberative nature, were caught off guard. It is not just another tool, but systems that mimic cognitive processes previously considered exclusively human. The initial reaction of controls, prohibitions, and mistrust has proven insufficient. AI cannot be stopped by restrictive regulations; rather, it demands a critical reinterpretation of what it means to build knowledge in an information-saturated environment.
