Abstract

Nowadays, companies have to face various challenges and constant changes in their environment, for which human talent is of vital importance, because it must respond to the demands effectively, efficiently and be prepared with competencies, skills and abilities according to the position held. The objective of the present work consisted in designing a model of evaluation of labor performance for small and medium companies in the city of Babahoyo, which allows detecting the strengths and areas of opportunity that the internal client has in the development and performance of their functions; the modality of the research is qualitative with bibliographic and documentary review, which allowed evaluating different models and approaches that have been designed through time; a field work was developed to collect quantitative information in situ about the variables to investigate, activities that allowed consolidating the designed model, adjusted to the needs of the companies.
