Abstract

The preservation of scientific knowledge has played a role in human evolution. Hieroglyphics were developed in Egypt around 3100 BC; and other independent forms of writing emerged in India and China. Currently, challenges include technological obsolescence, the preservation of primary data, misinformation, and selective preservation. From clay tablets and papyri to cloud servers, humanity has sought to preserve knowledge to ensure the well-being of future generations.
